Scientists from BioVentures Institute Sp. z o.o. continue their cooperation with theUniversity of Gdansk in the area of regenerative medicine, employing advanced recombinant DNA technologies. The new grant STRATEGMED in the amount of 17 767 556.00 PLN issued by the National Center for Research and Development was started by the academic-industrial consortium REGENNOVA.
Piotr Skowron received the professor title in biological sciences. On July 28th, after receiving positive reviews and a decision from the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles, the President of The Republic of Poland granted Piotr Skowron, President of BioVentures Institute Sp. z o.o., the full professorship title.
Cooperation in the area of gene cloning and engineering of enzymes for biotechnology applications between BioVentures Institute Sp. z o.o. and the Department of Molecular Biotechnology, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdansk, has resulted in the generation of new “molecular scissors” for DNA cleavage.
